At Deacon Lane, every stitch tells a story. From the gentle curve of a lamb’s ear to the round, sweet arc of the moon, our signature designs are more than just decoration — they’re the heart of our brand.

Each appliqué design is created exclusively for Deacon Lane by our founder and designer, Rebecca Deacon Addington. These designs capture what Deacon Lane stands for: timeless style, soft simplicity, and the joy of giving something truly special.

Designed with Intention

Before pencil meets paper, Rebecca thinks about what makes a keepsake meaningful — something a family will treasure long after the nursery has changed. Each piece begins with that feeling: the warmth of a baby gift that carries love in every detail.

Our artwork is intentionally simple. The clean lines and soft curves of our motifs reflect the purity of childhood, allowing each detail — a bow, a tiny ear, a hand-stitched outline — to shine. The result is a style that feels modern yet nostalgic, instantly recognizable as Deacon Lane style.

In a market filled with mundane artwork and patterns, Deacon Lane stands apart. Every cowboy boot, fluffy sheep, and bow garland you see began as an idea in Rebecca’s mind.  Most design ideas are sparked by fabrics that speak to Rebecca in some manner - perhaps with color or pattern.  Textiles truly drive the design process at Deacon Lane.

Once she has some fabrics in mind, Rebecca begins creating the design.  Each line drawing is refined, digitized, and carefully translated into embroidery and appliqué patterns used only in Deacon Lane products. This creative process ensures that our designs — and your gifts — remain one of a kind.

Every curve, every stitch, every soft line tells the story of where we began and the love that continues to inspire each new piece.
