Deacon Lane is the culmination of a lifetime of work experiences, personal interests, and my love of designing and creating thoughtful products.

My name is Rebecca — though I also answer to Becky or Becks,   depending on how (and when!) we met. Take your pick. I’m so glad you’re here, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Deacon Lane is a place to find unique, personalized gifts that are a little off the beaten path. For nearly 20 years, I helped build and grow 3 Marthas, a beloved baby brand, working closely with retailers, vendors, and gift buyers along the way. That experience shaped how I think about product, quality, and what truly makes a gift feel special — thoughtful, lasting, and never fleeting.

Many of the items you’ll find at Deacon Lane don’t exist readily in the open market. They’re often too time-consuming or detail-driven to manufacture at scale. When I can’t find what I’m looking for, I create it. My background in retail, private-label development, and wholesale manufacturing taught me how to work closely with partners to bring special ideas to life. Necessity really is the mother of invention — and it continues to guide much of what we do here.

At Deacon Lane, we believe exceptional products deserve equally thoughtful customer service. We work hard to get everything right on the front end — from clear descriptions to realistic delivery timelines — so there are no surprises on the back end. We want you to feel confident about exactly what you’re ordering and when it will arrive, and we’re always here to help if you need a little extra guidance.

While my Southern roots inform many of my tastes, the years I spent living and working on the East Coast continue to influence my design sensibility. Time spent working in special events at the National Gallery of Art gave me a deep appreciation for presentation and detail. I’ve always been drawn to a mix of styles — classic, with a twist. That balance is at the heart of Deacon Lane, and I hope you love it as much as we do.
